WHO IS THE SLEEPY GOOSE

The Sleepy Goose was created in 2021, by Torey Lee, a creative interior designer and seamstress, who has a crazy love for textiles and is often lost in the depths of textile markets and stores, all over the world, with her hands constantly touching, matching and swooning over fabrics.  

THE DESIGNERS 

Many of the products are designed by artisans in Morocco, India, France and Australia with a traditional hand loom often in the forefront.  With the launch of The Sleepy Goose's own brand, soon to be available online, Torey is now a permanent fixture at a massive table, in her studio, mixing and matching fabrics and colours, and drafting designs to share with her customers,  Racks of pure linen and Tussar silk sarees are waiting to be turned into beautiful bed throws and comforters, with intricate stitching and gorgeous tassels.  Mounds of unique fabrics grace every shelf, waiting their turn to be transformed into a stunning piece that you will love. 

OUR FABRICS

The Sleepy Goose is all about natural fabrics and textures with pure linens, cottons, plush velvets, wools of cashmere and merino, silks and hand dyed fabrics, made by skilled artisans, with influences drawn from different cultures and traditions.  We want to keep this hand-crafted artistry alive, in an ever increasing mass produced world.

We concentrate on clean lines using textured natural fibres and every piece in the collection is proudly unique.   Every cushion comes with an exquisite feather insert. Our ethos is keep it natural, keep it safe for the environment and offer our customers something they will be proud to have in their home.
